From a Christmas Gift to a Family Dream
What started as a homemade Christmas gift in 2022 slowly became something more. This is the story of a father and daughter turning a family tradition into a dream — one batch, one lesson and one memory at a time.
It didn't start with a business plan.
It started at Christmas in 2022 with a homemade smoked snack mix we made for our neighbors. There was no company, no logo and no plan to sell it. We simply wanted to make something good and share it with people we cared about. What happened next took us completely by surprise.

What started as a homemade smoked snack mix for our neighbors at Christmas became something we looked forward to making and sharing.
There was no business plan. No brand. No idea where it might lead.
Just a smoker, a homemade snack and the joy of giving it to people we cared about.
2023–2025
A Family Tradition
More Than Christmas
We kept making it.
Family gatherings. Pool parties. Holidays. The office. Friends and neighbors.
Somewhere along the way, people stopped simply telling us they liked it and started asking a different question:
"How can I buy this?"

Maybe We Have Something
After hearing that question again and again, we finally started wondering whether this family tradition could become something more.
Not just another snack company — but something Luna and Dad could build together.
A business where Luna could learn about creativity, entrepreneurship, hard work and what it means to build something from the ground up.

The Name
Luna & Dad Smokehouse
The name represents exactly what we're building.
A father. A daughter. A smoker. And a family dream.
What started in our backyard now had a name: Luna & Dad Smokehouse.
Summer 2026
Making It Real
From an Idea to a Brand
The logo came together. The website began taking shape. Our first labels and stickers were printed. Social pages went live. We started researching packaging, licensing and what it would take to turn our homemade tradition into a real business.
And, most importantly, we kept smoking.
One batch at a time.
August 2026
The Founder's Batch
Putting It Out There
We prepared our Founder's Batch and started sharing Luna & Dad Smokehouse with more people.
Friends. Neighbors. Local business owners. People in our community.
The response reminded us of the same thing we'd been hearing for years:
"Where can I get some?"
And suddenly this dream didn't feel quite so far away.
Today
Right Now
We're Just Getting Started
We're still learning. Still perfecting our Original Smokehouse mix. Still working through packaging, licensing and production. Still introducing ourselves to our community.
We haven't made it to grocery store shelves yet.
We haven't shipped thousands of bags.
And that's exactly why we're sharing the journey now.
